Summer of Someday

Writer: Travels with DelaneyTravels with Delaney

Who hasn't said, "Someday I am going to....." The truth is with the daily grind of everyday life, we tend to put off the things that are important to us. The thought for most of us is that someday we will have the time necessary to do the things that we really want to do. Unfortunately, not everyone makes it to someday due to the uncertainty of life. Patrick's sister is a great example of this. She was only 46 years old when she lost her battle with cancer in August of 2018. On many occasions, she would comment that "someday" she wanted to do things yet her someday now will never come. The loss of a loved one makes you realize just how important it is to live today and not to wait for someday.

What will YOU do this summer?

In January we decided that we would challenge not only ourselves but all of you to do something this summer that you have been saying "someday...." about. For us, it is to visit the state of California. We have said for years that someday we wanted to visit the wine regions of Northern California. Now we will turn Someday into Today. In addition to making the trek across the United States from Indiana, we will be meeting with many of you along the way. And even if our paths do not cross this summer, we would love to follow along with you on your Summer of Someday adventures. Whenever you post photos on Facebook and Instagram, make sure you utilize the hashtag #summerofsomeday so we can all see what your Someday looks like. And you can share with others your adopted new philosophy of Someday Starts Today by sporting a Summer of Someday shirt or displaying a Summer of Someday decal (yes....we have them now!).

Hey you two. I really enjoy your videos. Your YouTube “How To” videos are a great way of showing what you have learned from backing your unit to hooking up to a campsite. I apologize if I missed it but have you ever don a YouTube on cooking in your Tab400. I think the viewers would like a “Cooking with Delany“ segment.

Keep up up the great work and I wish you Clear Weather and Safe Driving.

So true. My wife and I both lost our fathers at young ages, 55 and 59. We have often said someday we'll get an RV and have it a little easier. We have camped for 30+ years. But, 2 weeks ago we finally purchased a TaB 400. Last week was the maiden voyage to a small state park in southern Minnesota, Whitewater State Park. A great weekend, and everything went well. We are headed out to Leech Lake soon and our boys (ages 29 and 31) and spouses/friends may also join us with the fishing boat and a tent for themselves of course. Should be fun. We thank you both for all the information you have shared. We watch…
